About the event
Local Colors is teaming up with Blue Ridge Literacy and the City of Roanoke to put on our 2nd annual Nowruz (Persian New Year) event. Nowruz is an important spring celebration in the Afghan, Iranian, and other Central Asian communities. Come experience the Nowruz traditions, listen to poetry reading, enjoy some food for purchase, hear traditional music, and even dance. Plus there are fun activities for the kids, too! It’s a great time to meet your neighbors and experience their culture.
The event will be held outdoors weather permitting.
