We are a collective of professionals in higher education and service whose research, teaching, outreach, or professional commitments incorporate a focus on displacement. The Virginia Consortium for Refugee, Migrant, and Displacement Studies (VCRMDS) is meant to formalize and institutionalize connections and relationships that foster research, education, and best practices. The overriding question for the consortium is, how do we formalize the model of reciprocal learning?
